Wellcome Dr. Patrick Chong become our Vet Consultant

After finishing high school in Hong Kong, Dr. Patrick moved to Sydney, Australia to study. He had the privilege of being granted a scholarship to study to become a vet. He obtained his Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree at the University of Sydney in 2005.
 
After graduating, he spent over five years working at the SPCA in Hong Kong. During this time, he gained much experience and confidence in surgery and shelter medicine and management. Patrick then worked for 2.5 years in a private practice on Lantau Island and further developed his interest in surgery, dermatology, feline medicine and preventive medicine.

Dr. Patrick enjoys working in animal welfare organisations. He joined SAA in February 2014 and is now the Advisory Consultant Veterinary Surgeon for the society. Dr. Patrick also works as a veterinary consultant for Royal Canin in Hong Kong. He gives lectures to veterinary nurses and provide consultation to veterinarians in Hong Kong and Macau.

During his free time, he enjoys cooking, reading, watching movies and travelling the world.
